Live with happiness
Something we should all remember. Life is beautiful provided we have the right attitude.
A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is
fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair
fashionably combed and shaved perfectly, even though he is
legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.
His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move
necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the
lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his
room was ready.
As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a
visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet
sheets that had been hung on his window.

I love it,' he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having
just been presented with a new puppy.
Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait.'
'That doesn't have anything to do with it,' he replied.
Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time.
Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the
furniture is arranged ... it's how I arrange my mind. I
already decided to love it. 'It's a decision I make every
morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the
day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts
of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be
thankful for the ones that do.
Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus
on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored
away.. Just for this time in my life.
Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what
you've put in.
So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness
in the bank account of memories!
Thank you for your part in filling my Memory Bank. I am
still depositing.
'Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.
Have a nice day, unless you already have other plans.

Best Friend
People always wonder who their best friend is. I always hear people go oh ya he used to be my best friend. Well then that person is not their best friend. As Baba usually says you may not find your best friend right now but keep waiting and when you find that certain person keep them close to you forever.
A best friend is someone who encourages you and cheers for you in whatever you do
A best friend is someone who encourages you and cheers for you in whatever you do
A best friend is someone who laughs when your jokes are not so good and sympathizes with your problems when their not so bad.
The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.

Hardships some kids have to face in life...
This is a story that i wrote that clearly depicts hardships that some kids have to go through in their life....example this girl.
Her hair was up in a ponytail
Her favorite dress tied with a bow
Today was Daddy's Day at school
And she couldn't wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone.
But she was not afraid;
She knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
Of why he wasn't there today.
But still her mother worried,
For her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
She tried to keep her daughter home.
But the little girl went to school,
Eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees,
A dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back,
For everyone to meet
Children squirming impatently,
Anxious in their seats.
One by one the teacher called,
Each student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
As seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name,
Every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
For a man who wasn't there.
"Where's her daddy at?"
She heard a boy call out.
"She probably doesn't have one"
Another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back,
She heard a daddy say,
"Looks like another deadbeat dad,
Too busy to waste his day."
The words did not offened her,
As she smiled up at her mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
Who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
Slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
Came words incredibly unique.
"My daddy couldn't be here,
Because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
Since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
And how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories
He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes,
and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him,
I'm not standing here alone.
Cause my daddy's always with me
Even though we are apart.
I know because he told me,
He'll forever be in my heart."
With that, her little hand reached up,
and lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
Beneath her favorite dress.
And from somewhere in the crowd of dads,
Her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
Doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down,
Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.
"I love my daddy very much,
He's my shining star.
And if he could he'd be here,
But heaven's just too far.
You see he was a fireman
And died just this past year.
When airplanes hit the towers
And taught Americans to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes,
It's like he never went away."
And then she closes her eyes,
And saw him there that day.
And to her mother's amazement,
She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they say before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
They saw him at her side.
"I know you're with me Daddy."
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
By the love of her shining bright star.
And given the gift of believing,
That heaven is never too far

The Car Time
The most inspirational time for me in my life on a daily basis is the short 10 min car drive with my dad to and from school. The only reason I'm saying this is because he always reminds me of my life goals and gives new information that has to relate with problems that I may be going through at the time.
This time is so helpful that I will never be of focused and always stay on task. This way I am always bound to complete the task at hand.

New Beginning
Its my birthday. A new beginning for me. I just had turned 14. My goal every birthday is to set some goals that I want to achieve before my next years birthday and plan to do that.
Hopefully I set aside all the problems and remember all the good times when I was 13 and turn that into a positive energy in the 14th year.
